- These individuals were not arrested "for being Christian" or "for practicing their religion". They were arrested for proselytization, which is the act of pushing or forcing religious material on people who don't need it, don't want it, and prefer to not be around it.

- The anti-single bias is very real. Bella DePaulo wrote a book in which she measured it, quantified it, and debunked a lot of the pseudoscience that was being used by the mass media. There does appear to be a custom, among American women at least, of fair weather friendship.
